Project Steps

Please Note- Due to the variety of coatings and composition of food and beverage glassware, not all will etch with the cream. Sand etching is optimal for those instances. Test dot the cream first in an inconspicuous spot.
After preparing the glass, draw two intersecting centerlines on the back of the dish with a china pencil or water soluble marker.
Beginning with the letters in the middle of the name at the point of centerline intersection, position the letter stencils along the horizontal line.
Position a wide flourish border stencil above and below the name.
Follow the etching cream instructions to etch the design onto the dish.
