Project Steps

1. Please note: only true colored glass can be etched with cream. Glass colored with tinted coatings or paints should be etched with sand. Always test before starting a project. Removing the tape or stencil can also cause the coating to chip or peel.
2. After removing and cleaning the glass, return the glass to the lantern carrier. Using a china pencil or water soluble marker, outline the open design space you will be etching in.
3. Remove the glass and center the appropriate size heart in the box drawn on the glass. Add a floral border around the top of the glass if possible.
4. Follow the etching cream instructions to etch the design onto the glass. Thoroughly clean and dry the glass before returning to the carrier.
