Project Steps
- This design was etched in stages.The technique allows the use of a particular stencil image multiple times on the same project when you don't have enough to etch all simultaneously. Additionally, it enables stencil images to be placed in closer proximity than the stencil borders would otherwise permit.
- After preparing the glass, place the goofy face of your choosing in the middle of the glass. Follow the etching cream instructions to etch the face onto the glass.
- Looking through the back of the glass, place the desired hat stencil as close to the face as possible. Use the etching cream, as before, to etch the hat onto the glass.
- Choose a location for the name. Place the letters beginning with those in the middle of the name and working outward. See the lettering tutorial if necessary. Press them down firmly and use the etching cream to add the name to the glass.
